The following students were named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2018 semester at Grove City College
Twelve students achieved membership in BW's Alpha Mu Zeta chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, International English honor society, in the spring 2018 semester.
Four Youngstown State University students took second place recently in an international marketing challenge at the 31rst annual NASBITE International Student Case Competition in Baltimore, Md.
Over 60 students participated in the 17th Annual Dance Marathon at Baldwin Wallace University. Dance Marathon is the largest philanthropy organization on campus. Lasting 12 hours, the marathon consists of performers, dance and HIV/AIDS education. All proceeds are donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which seeks to educate and reduce the the transmission and cases of pediatric AIDS worldwide.
Five Youngstown State University students, all Business majors in the Williamson College of Business Administration, have been selected as the John D. Beeghly Fellows for the 2018 Spring Semester.
Student musicians at Youngstown State Unversity, members of the Dana Chamber Orchestra, performed a Sunday afternoon concert recently in Youngstown's historic DeYor Performing Arts Center. Youngstown, OHThe Dana School of Music announces a concert by the Dana Chamber Orchestra, directed by Joseph Kromholz, on Sunday, February 4 at 4:00 p.m. in the Ford Family Recital Hall at the Eleanor Beecher Flad Pavilion, DeYor Performing Arts Center, 260 West Federal Street. Tickets are $7; $6 for senior citizens and students from other schools; and free for anyone with a valid YSU ID, and may be purchased at the door. The program will include Gioachino Rossini's "Una Voce Poco Fa" from Il Barbiere Di Siviglia featuring soloist first year Master's student Lindsay Heavner, soprano, and Serenade for Strings, Op. 22 by Antonin Dvorak.
More than 200 Youngstown State University students received awards and accolades for their leadership and campus involvement at the annual Student Awards Banquet. The event was April 20 on campus and was sponsored by YSU Student Government, Student Experience and Student Activities.
The Phi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi at Youngstown State University raised $2,000 at its Second Annual Strike-Out Arthritis event.
